Who are the Perinatal Navigators?
Perinatal Navigators are qualified professionals, including Registered Social Workers (RSWs), Registered Social Service Workers (RSSWs), and Registered Perinatal Support Workers (RPNSWs), all of whom have specialized training in the perinatal field. Each Navigator is fully certified and registered with their respective regulatory college, ensuring they meet the highest standards of professional practice and expertise in supporting families during pregnancy and the early postpartum/postnatal period.
Who pays for the Perinatal Navigator Services?
In many cases, Perinatal Navigator services are covered by private health insurance. We recommend reaching out to your insurance provider to inquire whether your plan includes coverage for Social Work, Social Service Work, or Personal Support Worker services.
For families without private insurance or those who do not have adequate coverage, we offer a sliding scale and grants to help offset the cost of Navigator services and other perinatal-related services. Please note that for financial assistance, there is an application and approval process in place to ensure that support is provided to those who qualify. This ensures that support remains accessible to those in need, regardless of financial situation.
